Internal Controls Specialist
We are currently looking for an experienced Internal Controls Specialist to join an international finance and GBS environment. In this role, you will act as a key partner in strengthening the internal control framework across the organization and driving continuous improvement in risk, compliance, and control processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and test internal financial and compliance controls (quarterly control reviews), ensuring controls are properly designed and executed,
- Train control performers and monitor transitions of responsibilities across teams,
- Ensure the internal controls framework reflects local risk landscape; propose updates when gaps are identified,
- Investigate and resolve SAP role and authorization issues; proactively monitor and eliminate Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts,
- Coordinate remediation plans for control deficiencies and ensure proper documentation in control tools,
- Support business projects from a controls perspective (e.g., SoD monitoring, mapping roles),
- Assist with internal and external audits, respond to findings, and follow up on management letter points,
- Contribute to policy and procedure improvements, facilitate knowledge-sharing and compliance best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; certifications like CPA, CIA are a plus,
- 5+ years of experience in internal controls, audit, or risk management (preferably in a GBS/SSC environment),
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), risk assessment, and regulatory compliance,
- Familiarity with SAP and GRC tools; experience with control automation platforms is desirable,
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills,
- Strong integrity and commitment to compliance and confidentiality,
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); other European languages are a plus.
