GL Accountant

We are currently looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join the finance team of an international organization. This role focuses on executing and improving accounting processes in the areas of General Ledger and Fixed Assets within a global, multi-entity structure.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently execute GL and FA accounting processes in accordance with internal policies and timelines,
Carry out month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting,
Maintain and update Fixed Assets master data to ensure accuracy and completeness,
Manage asset capitalization, depreciation, and movements in SAP,
Provide support to local finance teams across various entities in GL and FA-related matters,
Perform data quality checks and collaborate cross-functionally to drive standardization,
Participate in global projects, including SAP transitions and process improvement initiatives,
Support the implementation of new accounting requirements in local and group reporting,
Act as a contact for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a shared services or international environment,
Good understanding of general ledger processes and fixed assets accounting,
Experience working with ERP systems, ideally SAP,
Solid Excel skills and data accuracy orientation,
Strong organizational and communication skills,
Very good command of English (written and spoken),
Ability to work independently, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
