Controlling Manager
Our client is one of the largest manufacturing and trading companies in the country with a significant presence in dozens of foreign markets. The company manages a complex operational structure – from large-scale production, logistics, to retail and e-commerce. It is now entering a new phase of growth in which modern finance, strategic partnerships with the business and effective capital management play a key role. Tasks:
- Financial planning and forecasting – Lead annual budgets, financial projections (including rolling forecasts), and profitability analysis by product, customer, and channel.
- Variance and KPI analysis – Monitor budget execution, analyze variances, and provide actionable recommendations based on key performance indicators.
- Business partnering – Support decision-making across functions including sales, marketing, production, HR, and logistics with financial insights.
- Commercial controlling – Analyze profitability by customer, product, and region; support pricing, promotional, and marketing campaign strategies.
- Operational and production controlling – Optimize production, inventory, and logistics costs; support cost-saving initiatives across operations.
- Working capital and investment management – Oversee cash flow, capital expenditure planning, and investment project evaluations.
- Operational efficiency – Foster a cost-conscious culture, support lean initiatives, and drive cross-functional process improvements.
- Data and performance management – Develop and deliver management reports and dashboards using BI tools to support executive decision-making.
- Compliance and risk management – Ensure regulatory compliance, manage internal controls, and identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Team leadership and development – Build and lead a high-performing controlling team; implement role clarity, development paths, and recognition systems.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years in controlling or financial management, ideally in production, retail, or FMCG environments.
- Technical skills: Proficient in ERP systems, BI tools, and advanced Excel-based analysis.
- Business expertise: Solid understanding of cost control, profitability, and performance management across operations, supply chain, and commercial areas.
- Leadership: Experience in managing teams and driving cross-functional financial initiatives.
- Personal qualities: Independent, proactive, and adaptable to change; capable of operating in a dynamic and complex business environment.
- Languages: Fluent in English and Polish.
