Senior AP Accountant with German
We are currently supporting our client – an international company with a growing Shared Services Center in Warsaw – in finding a Senior AP Accountant with German. The role focuses on taking full ownership of AP processes, supporting the team in resolving complex issues, and driving improvements and automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Managing end-to-end Accounts Payable processes for one or more legal entities

Acting as a subject-matter expert and supporting the team with complex or non-standard cases

Reviewing and verifying supporting documentation and posting invoices into the system

Collaborating with business teams to ensure proper invoice coding and compliance with internal policies

Serving as a main point of contact for vendors and internal employees regarding AP-related topics

Reconciling payments and balance sheet accounts, as well as resolving discrepancies

Preparing and analyzing reports, including vendor aging and payment status overviews

Identifying areas for improvement and driving automation initiatives to increase process efficiency
Requirements:

Bringing a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance function

Speaking German and English fluently (written and spoken)

Demonstrating strong understanding of AP processes, accounting principles, and internal controls

Working confidently with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle)

Showing attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a solution-oriented mindset

Being proactive and open to taking ownership of tasks and improvement initiatives
