Contract Manager – (CMO / Pharma) (F/M/D)
Role purpose
The person in this role will be responsible for managing and negotiating contracts with external pharmaceutical manufacturers.
The role focuses on developing negotiation strategies, analyzing contract terms, and ensuring effective execution of contract management strategy across a defined portfolio of suppliers.
This position plays a key role in supporting sourcing strategies, with a strong focus on contract security and optimization of commercial terms.

Responsibilities
- Manage and renegotiate contracts with external manufacturing partners (CMOs)
- Negotiate commercial terms, including pricing, payment terms, SLAs, and risk-related clauses
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks while ensuring supply continuity
- Manage relationships with a portfolio of key suppliers
- Monitor costs and drive cost optimization initiatives (savings)
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. supply chain, quality, regulatory, legal)
- Contribute to continuous improvement of contract management processes and supplier collaboration standards
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sourcing/procurement, contract management, or a similar role in the pharma industry
- Experience in B2B contract negotiations
- Experience working with external manufacturing / CMOs
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills, including contract risk assessment, cost analysis, savings identification, and evaluation of commercial terms
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Good command of English (min. B2) – working in an international environment
