Cost Engineer (F/M/D)

Your responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates for projects by defining the project scope, timeline, and key assumptions.
• Identify schedule and budget constraints and propose solutions to mitigate potential risks.
• Develop and structure project cost breakdowns and analyze individual cost elements.
• Collect and analyze project data and monitor project progress.
• Collaborate with project teams to define requirements, coordinate production activities, and ensure project objectives are met.
• Develop and improve cost estimation models based on historical data and analytical insights.
• Support the quotation process by analyzing costs and establishing proposal priorities.
• Prepare financial reports, trend analyses, and project performance reports.
• Participate in the development and improvement of manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Monitor project execution in accordance with established standards and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost engineering, cost estimating, project controls, planning, or scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the railway industry will be considered an asset.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
• Knowledge of engineering tools and design software such as CATIA.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with modern digital tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Very good command of English (C1/C2 level).
