Operations Manager
HRK Engineering & Manufacturing is currently for operations manager on behalf of a chemical manufacturing company for an experienced professional to take on an operational role at a small-scale production facility.
Job Description:
The person in this role will be responsible for leading and overseeing the safe and efficient operations of our production, warehouse, and logistics departments.
The Operations Manager plays a key role within our organization, working closely with multifunctional on-site teams (including the Plant Engineer, Process Engineer, EHS Engineer, Quality and Maintenance Departments), as well as with external partners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead production and logistics operations to achieve site targets.
- Manage 4 direct reports and a total team of 50.
- Monitor and improve KPIs and resource utilization.
- Coordinate capital investment projects (CAPEX).
- Ensure material availability and alignment with production needs.
- Coach and develop employees across shifts and teams.
- Foster employee engagement and strong communication.
- Conduct performance reviews and training sessions.
- Promote and enforce EHS standards and safety culture.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational discipline on-site.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen).
- Support cost-reduction and digital transformation projects.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree (production, mechanical, or related).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in similar role Production/Operations Manager (chemical/coatings sector preferred).
- Practical knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Proven track record in managing production and warehouse teams.
- Fluent English – spoken and written.
